BBI Services’ Capability Development Framework combines best practice initiatives into an engaging and transformative programme supporting your team’s development journey.
The framework is an investment in the development of performance improvement skillsets, including the mindsets of teams from ‘boots to board.’ Proven to engage all levels of organisations with a learning-by-doing approach, the framework utilises practical activities that build collaboration and teamwork.
A key element of this framework is the engagement of leadership teams who are responsible for inspiring ‘what great looks like’ and developing strategic deployment plans which create the environment for teams, individuals and businesses to grow and succeed.
The ‘boots to board’ approach promotes the importance of investing in all levels of the business. From site operatives to the C-suite, a common language and purpose is essential and must be achieved through collective skillsets and mindsets.

Leadership teams must ‘talk the talk’ and lead by example. So, our Leadership Development Programmes inspire a shared vision of what great looks like, shaping the way forward, and enabling leaders to set their teams up for success. An element of this is our Construction to Production Masterclass, delivered in partnership with Toyota, where leaders experience a world-class, high-performing operation, and BBI Services facilitates the translation of this experience into the built environment.
Lead & Deploy
The Improvement Practitioner Programme is a global qualification-based programme, delivered with specialist facilitation and practical simulations. It aims to develop individuals to lead and deploy improvement projects within their workplace.
As part of the programme, the participants all deliver an improvement project which generates a significant return on investment and fuels continuous improvement. The programme is also fully supported by the BBI team who deliver comprehensive coaching throughout.
Facilitate & Run
The Foundation’s Tools are a mechanism to widely engage and embed productive skillsets throughout organisations. These modules are available via the CITB grant if you are a levy payer.
Engage
The engagement of teams can be achieved through practical workshops. For example, the Productivity Improvement workshop is a half-day session which highlights the compelling need for change in your business and the construction industry. Sharing factors that negatively impact the construction industry’s productivity, discovering how to measure productivity and uncovering ways to successfully achieve productivity gains is also covered in the workshop.
Awareness & Alignment
The process of widely engaging team members with a common language is achieved through specific workshops, lunch ‘n’ learn programmes and communication channels.
